Cannot compile the code

posted Apr 01, 2016 12:49:40 by bryanhamilton64
I reset the Arduino, loaded your code and didn't have the TM1637 library installed so it wouldn't compile.

I tried using the 'Manage Library' option in the sketch menu but couldn't find this library listed so I resorted to searching the net for it. I downloaded a zip that say's it's TM1637-1.0.0.0.zip and installed this using the sketch/include library/add zip library option and it now shows in the library list but I get a whole new flood of errors when I try to compile your code.

Arduino: 1.6.5 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino Uno"

ShiftLightV2_4.ino: In function 'void setup()':
ShiftLightV2_4:258: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4.ino: In function 'void loop()':
ShiftLightV2_4:333: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4:343: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4.ino: In function 'void menu()':
ShiftLightV2_4:665: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4:1066: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4:1089: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
ShiftLightV2_4:1098: error: 'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'
'class TM1637Display' has no member named 'setColon'

Any ideas?

A link to the missing library would be useful or include it in YOUR code zip.

Cheers mate.

Hi Bryan,

Sorry for the delay. I'm packing all the code and libraries into a ZIP and will have available either tonight or tomorrow. This will likely solve the problem you're experiencing. I did have to modify the library slightly for the use of the colon on the display.
