led display is not lighting up

hie sir i have connected every thing except dimmer coz i dont know what dimmer do, and also connect 4 pins of display to the board but it is not lighting up, is dimmer is necessary to connect?

sir i think there is a bug in diagrams, the led display clock & data pins are A5 and A4 in pictures but in programm the pins are A2 and A3, correct me if am wrong

The diagrams are correct. It's come to my attention that some Nano boards have their analog pins switched. Did you purchase your own Nano or use one from the Chippernut store? Take a look at the pinout on these boards. All Nano boards and components from the Chippernut store are tested to make sure they work correctly on the shiftlight code prior to shipment. Please let me know if you received one from me that isn't working. you may email me directly at In either case, if the analog pins on your Nano are swapped, it's simple programming change to reassign the correct values. Sorry for any hassle this has caused.

V2.X of the Nano boards have the Analog pins going in the opposite direction. V3.0 Nano is the model you want. See this post:

i am sorry sir my bad! i am using arduino uno thats why i taught it was a bug, thanks for correcting me sir
